Aim of the course
To build your fashion and portrait photography portfolio. Giving you more confidence using off camera flash, portable studios and developing your creative skills in fashion photography.
This is an exciting fashion photography course with the talented Ellie Tomassi and myself, Phil Richardson. Ellie will demonstrate how you take styling influences from fashion magazines, catalogues and look-books, I will show you a few simple light set ups which you can easily re-create.
The five set-ups used on the day will be Hi-Key (white background), Lo-Key (black), creative lighting techniques with softboxes, beauty dishes, reflectors, snoots, on-location fashion photography, and the final section beauty photography.
You will have a chance to help us with lighting set-ups, giving you useful experience of working in a studio. Take advantage when watching the hair and make-up styling of the models in the morning by photographing the session as-well. You will have a superb day and walk away with ten brilliant images for your portfolio. Just bring along your camera.
