‘Learn to use your digital camera at the National Trust Ashridge Estate’
The day is split into two sessions the morning is for children aged between 11-14 (as a parent or guardian you are welcome to attend) and in the afternoon for teens between 15-18. There will be two tutors available all day from MelenStudios.
This is a great place to start learning photography and could help you with school work,
GCSE & A Levels or even as a hobby and want to develop your skills further. Learn to use your Compact Digital Camera or your DSLR camera in the picturesque surrounds of the National Trust woodland on the Ashridge Estate. You don’t need any photography experience as you will learn the skills that will allow you to achieve the photos that you want to start taking. DSLR style or bridge cameras are also suited to this day.
The first session from 1000 until 1200 for 11 to 14 year olds will cover some basic camera functions and then we will work on a project creating images of the Visitor Centre, Bridgewater Monument and near by estate whilst learning about lighting and composition.
Parents and Guardians welcome.
The second session from 1300 until 1600 for 15-18 year olds teach you about ISO, White Balance, Aperture and Shutter Speed. We will then use the skills learned to create a series of photographs in a narrative to reflect the National Trust Estate at Ashridge.
