Lighting & Portraiture Photography Course One
Introduction to lighting

Now that you have learned about your camera and its settings this a great place to start learning about using light and to start creating professional photographs.  Using simple lighting set ups to this workshop will show you how to produce portraits and without having to spend a fortune on equipment.   Using one light source is an ideal way to start learning about controlling shadows and giving life to your images.

The workshop starts with continuous light using window light practising with a model.  Again using just one source of light 'Windows of Light' outside.  In the afternoon you will learn how to set up studio lighting with soft boxes and umbrellas and your speed lites creating a portable studio suitable for small spaces.  We end the day looking at still life ideal for art photography and for online selling.
