Introduction to 35mm SLR Film photography, based in London.
Thinking of trying something new, join on this is a creative 35mm film course for beginners.  Explore intriguing hidden areas of London plus a few well known locations. Little experience is needed just a basic understanding of photography.

Starting at Farringdon station with a film loading demonstration and camera set you will use pushed colour film, this gives a high saturation and contrasty look.  The creative shapes in the architecture and red phone boxes at Smithfield Market are great backdrops for portraiture.  We will take a short walk to photograph Brutalist architecture and the Roman Walls changing to pushed black and white film for extra grain and contrast.

After lunch, a few steps to St Paul’s cathedral still using Black and White film, photographing people and architecture. Through the interesting alleyways with opportunities to try out your new skills and we cross over the river to the Southbank.  You'll load some Cross Processed film to produce alternative colours and high contrast. 

Course price includes the use of a Nikon 35mm camera, lens and three 35mm films, Colour, B&W and E6 Slide for Cross Processing. Develop new photography skills using film cameras, bringing creativity to your film and digital photography.
